Illustrator and Graphic Designer
The idea was to create detailed illustrations on 9 different square business cards that created a larger image when the cards were lined up (a fisherman surrounded by threats and monstrosities.) . One challenge of this project was to create 9 different works of art that fit as one bigger image. The other was to make sure that the illustrations always lined up even if the artwork was misaligned by the printer.
The Vision
Every card needed to be planned to fit the inside the larger artwork. An initial sketch was made of every character and the layout of the piece.
The Plan
To make sure the puzzle would work the size of each illustration needed to be precise so there would be no issues when printing. A frame was added to the design so incase the illustrations were printed slightly to the left or right the larger image would still fit together.
